I would personally like to thank- from the bottom of my heart- all the people who selflessly worked on and walked in the Concerned Friends of Fernandina Shrimp Festival Parade entry. So much creativity bubbled forth; making it great fun to create such an experience together!
I am especially grateful to DiAnn for giving us a home, for feeding us and making us feel welcome day and night, and for coming up with the brilliant bubble wrap idea. I want to praise Jackie for being an amazing artist and for creating the most incredible puppet head any of us could possibly imagine for Neptune, King of the Sea. To Tony for fixing the brakes, providing the boat, coming up with a sound system, not to mention his enthusiasm and envisioning of a shrimp boat. To Deb for giving us room to work, glue guns, and a parking lot. I'd also like to thank Eliza who is the best sign maker ever, Rich for seeing what a little cardboard and duct tape could create, Victoria for creating the original shrimp that we so effectively plagiarized, New To You for donating the ribbons so our fish and shrimp could have streamers, and to Rich Hall for encouraging me to make a big puppet.
There are also many others who contributed endless hours of effort and money so the Streets of the Shining Sea entry could happen. Thank you to Chuck, Linda, Jorge, Chris P., Chris M., Pam, Annette, Debbie L., Steve, Kari, Deborah, Lynne, Jane, Alan, Ken, Linda S., Barbie, Jan, Keisha, Qsun, and my old buddies Dave, and Judy. It‚s amazing how each person showed up just at the right moment!
Without everyone's enthusiasm and willingness we wouldn't‚t have gotten very far. Thanks again for working and playing so well together.
